The River Social
Created by Pare Design with Minuteman Press of Johnston, Rhode Island for their client The River Social as part of a case study to create marketing materials that will bring in more people to their store. This case study is generated towards young adults who are looking for fine dining and a unique experience when they are out.
To create a rack card, coupon card, advertisement and Valentine’s Day menu for The River Social. The requirements were to create a graphically engaging design that was consistent on all of their marketing materials and promos.
Pare Design had created the rack card, coupon card, advertisement, and added graphical subtle elements to the already created menu. The design and concept is created using elements and colors from The River Social’s logo.
The River Social’s logo has contrasting colors and works well on all elements of their marketing and promotional materials. Pare Design added in all of the images and text they had given to add onto the rack card, coupon card and advertisement. Once this information was laid out I had rearranged the elements and added in tapered lines that divided up the different events.
Originally the rack card was supposed to include the coupon on the bottom or the back of the card. In the process at Minuteman Press of Johnston we had tried to work this into the card but it did not fit and took away from the overall design. We came to a conclusion to create the rack card to be used as a marketing material while using the coupon card as a promo piece that will keep customers coming back. It also allows The River Social to produce more of the rack card or coupon card separately as needed.
The advertisement was later created based off the rack card design at a larger size and different background color. It was created to be printed as a full page advertisement in the paper.
