Poseidon’s Diner Logo Design & Menu
Created by Pare Design as a case study to create a menu after being given all items and prices. I also produced a logo design due to no current branding. This case study is created to engage customers while adding elements to the restaurant’s menu.
Assignment
To create a menu design after being given a list of menu items and prices. The design is created to be simplistic and focuses mainly on layout.
Execution
The diner had no identification in this process so I had created a logo and name for the restaurant that fit best with the items on the menu. In the creation process there were many different logo variations and different color palettes but I had chosen this logo to be the final one because of its simplicity. After creating the logo design it had set the path in creating the menu’s layout.
In designing the layout of the menu only one side was needed in the design as there are only a few items on the menu. When adding in the pricing for each item I had used dots leading up to the price so the menu is legible and easy to understand. Through designing other menus in the field I was also aware that allergy information and a warning about eating undercooked foods had to also be added into the menu design. In finalizing the design I used colors and elements from the logo design and used it throughout the menu to create consistency.
