Branding: Cranston, Rhode Island
Town of Cranston
Created by Pare Design as a rebrand for the town of Cranston, Rhode Island. This rebrand must represent the town and it’s people in all aspects of the project.
Assignment
To create a logo, brochure and poster design for current events happening in the town. Pare design had to create a new logo for the town that was current but represented the town. In creating the logo I was also tasked with creating a brochure that gave visitors more information about the town. In finalizing these two projects I had to design two posters for two separate events happening in the town.

Execution
In creating the logo I had decided to incorporate different structures around the town the had meaning to those in the community. A majority of my logo is based off the Cranston Stadium and City Hall. Since the Cranston Stadium is one of the most common places that family and friends come together it was only fitting to have the main visual of the logo come from the stadium’s entrance. The symbol in the center of the logo is from City Hall as it’s the structure on top of the building.
In my brochure I had taken informative text about Cranston and its history. In the brochure I also found it was important to list all of the places that make Cranston unique from its surrounding towns. Some requirements for the brochure was to include the logo as well as have a map of a small area in the town that highlighted the important buildings. Lastly, the poster design was created by the use of symbols and a unique typographic treatment that was formed to the icon used to represent each event visually.
